Have you ever tried relationship/couples/marriage counselling? If so what was it like first time you went? did it help?
If you (both parties) are willing to open up and work on your differences so that your relationship can go the distance, it can be very beneficial.

BE CAREFUL. I went once, and I’m glad i didn’t go through with it. The (female) counselor didn’t really listen, to but jumped to conclusions and blamed me before hearing both sides. Now I understand why so many people get divorced after marital counseling. In fact, they make you sign a legal waiver releasing them from responsibility if you get divorced. My wife and I worked out our temporary issue on our own, and we’ve been happy ever since.
